“I think it’s the ability to escape into fantasy, into a world you’re in absolute, complete control of…You’re creating it from your own mind, from your own vision of what something should look like…The projects that I’ve actually finished, most of them represent a story to me. It’s almost like being an author in 3 dimensions,” says Tina McDonald, President of Miniature Enthusiasts of Edmonton.
She holds a PHD in economics and is retired from a career consulting for the Government of Alberta. A golden retriever and a blind poodle look on as she keeps talking and working, eventually revealing the real reason why she loves making things in miniature.
